There's an election in Texas Tomorrow!

Hey - if you live in Texas & didn't vote in the Republican primary, you need to vote again tomorrow. Anyone who voted in the Democratic primary, or who didn't vote at all, is eligible.
Statewide, there is a runoff between Dale Henry, a man with many years of experience in the oil & gas business, and who struck me as a good Democratic candidate when I saw him speak. He has been endorsed by the Austin Chronicle, always a good sign. What they had to say, and the District Attorney's race, below the fold.
Here's what the Chronicle said in their endorsement of Henry:
Henry is our preferred candidate because of his extensive oil-and-gas experience and his familiarity with how the commission operates. That's the type of knowledge he'll need if he expects to conquer long odds and oust the incumbent Republican chairman, Michael Williams, in November.
In Travis County, there is a hotly contested race for District Attorney. No matter who wins, we will have our first woman DA. Rosemary Lehmberg has been first assistant to the retiring Ronnie Earle. I think that she has the experience, integrity & the gravitas needed for a DA.
The Chron says:
Democratic sources. On balance, we agree with Earle that Lehmberg is the overall most qualified person to carry on his considerable legacy. She has worked in all the units of the office and has been both a practicing prosecutor and (as first assistant) a chief administrator, with the responsibility and long experience in balancing the varying demands on the office: from prosecution to budgets to managing personnel and, beyond that, to the complicated political considerations arising from the Travis Co. D.A.'s jurisdiction over state corruption investigations and prosecutions.
